Alone

Walking along this simple beach,
The waves on my toes.
I wish I had someone to walk with,
Yes I wish I had one of those.

Someone who would draw hearts,
On this sandy beach.
And draw our initials in side of it,
And say he did it for me.

Someone who doesn't care,
If I go to another world.
He would come with me,
Our imaginations unfurled.

He would see the faeries,
In the mossy reeds.
And chase after them,
With someone like me.

Then I saw him walking on the beach,
His Ipod turned up loud.
He was staring up into the sky,
And pointed out a cloud.

It looked like the sandy hearts,
That only exsist in dreams.
We didn't draw it in the sand,
But he said the cloud was for me.

Now I don't walk along this simple beach,
The waves on my toes,
Instead I'm with my new boyfriend,
Yes, now I have one of those.

(not true.. still single)
